Kathryn D Pavlovsky: Senior Manager, Global Environment & Sustainability Group, Deloitte

Kathryn has nearly 15 years of experience in sustainability and environmental risk management. She is currently working to define and expand Deloitte's cross-functional service offerings related to sustainability. Kathryn has been involved in helping clients incorporate social, environmental, and economic issues into their business strategies and performance measurement systems. Recently, she has been highly active in assessing environmental controls in conjunction with Sarbanes-Oxley readiness requirements, valuing contingent environmental liabilities for financial reporting purposes, and assessing EHS (environment, health, and safety) and sustainability frameworks for the purpose of identifying performance and efficiency improvement opportunities. Kathryn specializes in conducting risk and exposure assessments, performing cost-benefit and financial impact analyses, and advising on strategy development and management system implementation.
 
Prior to joining Deloitte, Kathryn managed environmental claims litigation for Travelers Property Casualty Corporation. There she served as the project manager for over thirty policyholders involved in environmental and class action litigation, and also investigated and resolved insurance coverage and liability issues pertaining to complex environmental and toxic tort litigation. Kathryn holds an MBA from Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management (Rice University) and a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration in environmental economics.
